Presents the history of the craft of book arts at Wells College. Early book artists at Wells included J.J. Lankes, master of the woodcut, and Victor Hammer, who created the Wells College Press. The dedication of professors who followed led to the creation of the Book Arts Center, which remains one of the few such departments in higher education.
